The Office of the American Workplace (OAW)


The Office of the American Workplace (OAW) serves as a national focal point in promoting the creation of high performance work practices and policies. It helps employees, managers, and union leaders to create flexible, innovative and cooperative workplaces designed to improve the performance of their organizations. It administers a variety of Federal acts required by statute, including employee protection provisions of the Federal Transit Act, the Rail Passenger Service Act, the Redwood National Park Expansion Act, the Airline Deregulation Act, and provisions of the Labor- Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959, as amended and other statutes.
