Psychological Examinations


Psychological examinations may or may not be considered ''medical examinations'' depending upon the purpose of the examination and the nature of the individual inquiries made. According to the EEOC, ''psychological examinations are considered medical examinations if they provide evidence that would lead to identifying a mental disorder or impairment. For example, those listed in the American Psychiatric Association's most recent Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
