Evaluation Benefits

Evaluations can serve two purposes. One is to help employees improve their performances and second is to protect employers from false claims by former employees. To achieve both these goals, thoroughly and objectively evaluate each of your employees twice a year. If an employee is having serious problems, you might want to evaluate more then twice a year. Your written evaluations will put employees on notice if they are not meeting your expectations and will give them an opportunity to improve. And if you later have to fire an employee due to poor performance, these evaluations will document that your reasons were sound.
