Essential Functions of a Multiple Task Position

The courts have recognized that a job position may involve a multitude of tasks and that an employer may require an employee to rotate among a number of these job tasks on a periodic basis. Even though an employee with a disability may be able to perform certain of these job tasks, the employee would not be a qualified individual with a disability unless the individual can perform all of the job tasks that are involved in the rotation.
