EEOC’s Definition of Reasonable AccommodationsThe EEOC's final regulatory definition is in line with that proposed by the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, which in its 1983 publication Accommodating the Spectrum of Individual Abilities defined reasonable accommodation to include: providing or modifying devices, services, or facilities or changing practices or procedures in order to match a particular person with a particular program or activity.
