Changing Supervisors As Reasonable AccommodationWhile the ADA does not require an employer to assign a new supervisor to an employee with a disability as a reasonable accommodation, the statute does not prohibit an employer from doing so. Significantly, the EEOC takes the position that even though an employer is not required to reassign or change a disabled employee's supervisor, the ADA may require that supervisory methods be altered as a form of reasonable accommodation. |
